The town has Intermountain Gas and Rocky Mountain Power, so in town a gas furnace is the cheap default and a heat-pump rebate runs through RMP’s Wattsmart program. Head up onto the bench toward the recreation country, and you’re often on propane, which tilts the math toward a heat pump or dual-fuel setup, and we’ll say which fits your address.A heat pump doesn’t burn fuel to make heat. - December–February — Peak load. If the furnace runs nonstop and still loses ground, it's sizing or duct loss against a colder-than-valley low, and we'll measure which.
- April — Seal ducts and service the AC while the heat's off.
